CORONA POLICIES

It is informed that Oriental Insurance has stopped selling of all Corona policies, including renewals. While selling new policies can be avoided due to high claims ratio, denying renewals is not a good option. This will be a great injustice to our existing Customers, as Corona Virus is spreading rapidly. Hence it is requested that the renewals of all Corona products may be accepted.

I would like to add on this that even IRDAI had made a press release dated 24.03.2020 stating that every insurer had to provide the facility of buying and renewing both the short term policies "Corona Kavach Policy" and "Corona Rakshak Policy" till 30.09.2021 previously this date was 31.03.2021.

Even i had communicated to the OICL customer care but as usual they are not aware about such notice and i had even highlighted this issue to IRDAI as i was not getting response from OICL.

For your reference, you may refer the below link which is the Press release issued by IRDAI.

Even comission is stopped for these products when every agent is putting his life at risk for servicing these policies.

PSUs are making loss and unable to even meet insolvency margin. Does that mean the public's money should be stopped to float them and that too for a few 1000 employees and fly.

Is the Management Shylock or Portia?
