At present to renew a existing policy a link renewal no is generated periodically which is except for the div code , dept,year is unique without any logical linking to the existing or new policy
Instead the R no itself should be the policy no except for prefixing the R slash.

The R no for renewal will be like R/411500/48/2017/3475
The renewed policy will be 411500/48/2018)4476
The above eg you can't find out whether the policy has been renewed or not
Instead if we use a system which the prefix R itself is used for renewal will allow us to quicken but also move forward to find out if the policy has been renewed or not
